From a young age, I’ve been enamored with photography and captivated by the power of the camera. As the daughter of Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Win McNamee and granddaughter of renowned photojournalist Wally McNamee, I grew up surrounded by creativity and a deep appreciation for visual storytelling. I have been inspired by their dedication to storytelling and capturing moments in time, inspiring me to preserve genuine memories that will last a lifetime.

Six years ago, Ella McNamee Photography was born from a deep love of visual storytelling and human connection, and it has since become my pride and joy. This journey has led me to incredible opportunities, from photographing graduates in South Carolina to capturing a wedding in Montana and political moments in Washington, D.C.

Photography isn’t just a hobby or a career for me, but rather a part of my identity. It has given me passion, courage, joy, and an endless drive, causing my perception of the world to widen. The lens through which I see the world has quite literally, in every sense, changed.
